Premier Team Heads to Grundy

img_2661Earlier this month, Premier Eyecare sent a team out to make a difference! Dr. Brad Church and master optician, Diane Brooks, led a team to Grundy, Virginia, to take part in a Remote Area Medical (RAM) clinic. What is a RAM clinic you might ask? Many people live in fear of sickness and injury because they have little or no access to basic medical care. RAM responds to this need by providing free dental, vision, and medical care to isolated, impoverished, or under-served communities. In less than 12 hours they turn fairgrounds, schools, arenas, and jungles into mobile medical centers!

We are honored to have been a part of such an amazing mission. Our team came home exhausted but exhilarated. When the final numbers were tallied, the Grundy RAM clinic cared for 532 people with total medical services totaling over $300,000…and this was only in 18 hours!
